Welcome to Sky Dragon Music
This website contains some meager attempts at creating beauty. Writing music brings me great meaning, and I think it brings some meaning to those who hear it, so I keep writing. I've written for a wide variety of ensembles—classical guitar, orchestra, rock band, woodwind quintet, choir, and more—and I enjoy experimenting with different ensembles (or assembling my own) to learn about different instruments. I still prefer writing with pen and paper, preferably while watching my Great Dane play in the creek. My music has been performed for various audiences, and my greatest desire is to share my music with others.

Leading with Authenticity
My muse, the great John Towner Williams, still uses pen and paper. I still use the same leatherbound composition binder I have used for 10 years.
Wide Ranging Ensembles
I experiment with various ensemble types, most recently exploring brass settings. Do not hesitate to reach out with unconventional ensemble commission requests!
Enabling Performance
Solzhenitsyn argued that Dostoevsky's phrase "beauty will save the world" was more prophecy than artistic phrase. In the age of AI, I hope to fulfill this prophecy through authentic human performance.
